MOVING DAY

In most golf tournaments that play over 4 days, they usually refer to Saturday, or the 3rd day of the tournament, as "MOVING DAY."

MOVING DAY is the day that the players "make their move" up the leader board.  They "make their move" to position themselves to win.

For others, MOVING DAY is just that....they move from one place of dwelling to another.

Well, today was MOVING DAY for my son and daughter-in-love.  

They bought their first house.

They got the truck.

They had help.

We moved them from the old into the new.

MOVING DAY.

Whether you are a golfer or just relocating to a new place to live, there is something exciting about MOVING DAY.

The nerves; excitement; the unknown; having your loved ones around you cheering your on.

MOVING DAY.

What if we would take that same excitement that we feel as we're moving up the "leader board," or as we are relocating into a new place to live.....what if we took that same excitement and chose to LIVE EVERY DAY like it was MOVING DAY?

Every day we wake up, we have a choice on how we will approach or attack the day.

Do we have the mentality when we wake up, we hit the alarm clock (or the snooze button a couple of times), shower, get dressed, off to work, back home, eat dinner, watch a little tv, go to bed, to do it all over again tomorrow and the next day, and the next day after that?

OR.....do we wake up and say, "TODAY, I'm going to make a difference in someone's life! I'm going to attack my day as if I'm moving into a new house, with new neighbors, and new possibilities to find all the NEW that this day has for me?"

How would you rather live your BEST YEAR YET.....same old same old...or a NEW DAY?

How about we wake up tomorrow and say, "THIS DAY....TODAY....is the DAY that the LORD has made, for me!  I purpose in my heart to REJOICE TODAY and be GLAD in it....MY CHOICE!" [Psalms 118:24...Tim Peterson paraphrase]
