LOVE CAN

"Three things will last forever - faith, hope and love - 

and the greatest of these is LOVE."  1 Corinthians 13:13 [NLT]

LOVE is an action word.

LOVE CAN.  

LOVE DOES.

There is a quote that is attributed to Edmond Burke (1729-1797) an Irish Statesman that says, "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing."

The recent happenings in Charlottesville, VA is another show of evil that needs to be denounced....IN LOVE.

I have a friend, who earlier today posted, "Stay aware and call it what it is.  RACISM AND HATE is still very alive in this country.  We must choose LOVE, but also cannot stay silent with the realities of our nation.  Stand up against the HATE with JUSTICE AND LOVE."

Will we....will you...will I just sit back and do nothing?

Will we...will you...will I LET evil triumph because of silence?

"LOVE can cross boarders and LOVE can break walls

LOVE can unbind us, LOVE can define us

LOVE can see through what our eyes can't undo

LOVE got me thinking, LOVE can do anything......"

These are the starting lyrics to a song called "LOVE CAN" by Shaun Jacobs.  Earlier this year, a group of Churches and their leadership teams, here in Omaha, adopted this name for a campaign, "LOVE CAN" when people from all over the city would demonstrate LOVE. 

The song referenced above, was the song that accompanied the theme (click this link, LOVE CAN to watch and listen).

What if....what if we...what if you...what if I...what if all of us RAN to "the GREATEST of these..." as it says in the Bible verse above and lived it out?  

What if we all let LOVE dominate our actions?

What would happen?  

TRANSFORMATION.  Because, "LOVE CAN do anything!"
