I HOPE YOU DANCE

"....when you get the choice to sit it out or dance...I hope you dance!" Lee Ann Womack

The CHEERLEADER and I were in Denver over the weekend celebrating Mother's Day with my mom and family!

We were also able to, as a bonus, celebrate one of my sister's birthday on Saturday.  Earlier in the day, we had some time to ourselves and we bounce around different parts of Denver.

We went and grabbed a coffee and on our way back to where we were staying, right on the sidewalk was spray painted, "DANCE SPOT."  So I stopped, and started DANCING!  The CHEERLEADER started laughing...not at me, but WITH me.  We both were expressing the joy of the moment!

Let me just say, as athletic as I was growing up....and that I am still "sort of" now....I am not a graceful dancer.....but at that moment, I really didn't care.

The instructions weren't to dance gracefully.  The sign, painted on the sidewalk, was just an indicator, right there, on the corner of 9th & Grant, was the place to DANCE!

There are many "DANCE SPOTs" in our lives.

Do you recognize them?

What keeps you from laying all fear down and just DANCE?

Pride; ego; fear of what others will say; your family; your friends?

Don't let others stop you from expressing your joy, love, happiness, etc., in your BEST YEAR YET!

I HOPE YOU DANCE!

Sometimes....somedays....the "DANCE SPOT" shows up to remind us we're alive. Sometimes, it's to remind others.  It doesn't always show up at convenient times...but EVERY TIME...it's the RIGHT TIME!

Where's your "DANCE SPOT?"  Drop me a line and let me know.

I HOPE YOU DANCE!
