IT'S.NOT.ABOUT.YOU!
You might be thinking right now, "How is helping someone else going to get me to my dreams?"
Listen to this Bible verse from Genesis chapter 8. Just to set this up, real quick, this is AFTER the flood that Noah had prepared the Ark for his family, him and 2 of every kind of animal. God said in Genesis 8:22:
"While the earth remains,
Seedtime and harvest,
And cold and heat,
And winter and summer,
And day and night
Shall not cease."
Let's break this down:
- Is the Earth still here? ✔
- Do we still have cold and heat (go outside in Omaha, Nebraska today!)? ✔
- How about winter and summer? ✔
- Day and night? ✔
Since NONE of these other "happenings" have been done away with, SEEDTIME and HARVEST still remain as well. ✔✔✔✔✔
SEEDTIME and HARVEST is NOT just a "LAW" for the farmer....although the farmer is accustomed to it.
SEEDTIME and HARVEST = At a designated time PLANT a seed; then at a designated time, REAP the harvest.
This is a natural LAW that takes place in all areas of life.
Some might call it KARMA or CAUSE and EFFECT = intent and actions of an individual (cause) influence the future of that individual (effect).
SEEDTIME and HARVEST.
So, back to our topic, IT'S NOT ABOUT YOU! YOU help enough people get what they want, you can have everything in life you want.
What happens when you begin to shift your away from yourself? Something changes in YOU. Here's a few ways to test TIM'S BEST YEAR YET THEORY OF SEEDTIME and HARVEST:
- Go volunteer at the local homeless shelter
- Serve food on Christmas or another Holiday
- Go on a short term missions trip to another country
- Go on a short term missions trip in our country to places that don't have it as nice as you
- Volunteer to read to children
- Volunteer to read to Seniors in a nursing home
There are so many things that you can do, that IT'S NOT ABOUT YOU.....but about others.
