A place where the simplistic rules the day.

We LOVE our porch.  We look forward each Spring when we can get out the chairs and small tables and stretch it out as long as we can into the Fall, when we put the chairs and table away for the Winter.

It was right there....on THE PORCH, while scrolling through Facebook, that I was challenged to run my first 5K.

On THE PORCH, one summer when we had all the boys home (2 in college and 1 in high school at that time), we spent MANY evenings after work just talking about life, love, the days events......making memories.

Do you have a place....a PORCH that you go to to get away from the "speed of life?"

There is a song by the Rascal Flatts called, MAYBERRY, that speaks to a simpler time where you knew people, by their first name, as they passed by your house.  Where you would sit on your front porch drinking iced cold Cherry Coke.

Just tonight, before I came in to write this post, the CHEERLEADER, Bella the Wonder Dog, and I were out on THE PORCH, taking in the sounds of Summer and enjoying our time as the sun begins to set.  DREAMING about life, petting the dog, and loving every minute of it.
