BEST YEAR YETs are even better when shared with others!
This guy in the San Fran shirt, Mark Mason, ran his first 10k today. I paced him.
Before today, Mark's longest run was right at 4 miles. He didn't know for sure how long it would take, so he set a goal to finish in 1 hour and 20 minutes.
So off we went at the start. I had a plan to keep him on the pace we needed to hit the target. We went out a bit faster, but kept pretty good to what we needed.
In the end, we came through at 1:15.....5 minutes faster than what he wanted. PR for Mark!
In our lives, we are going to have people that we will "PACE FOR THE RACE," in their lives, and there will be others that do the same for us.
The Bible says in Proverbs 17:17 [NLT] says, "A friend is always loyal, and a brother is born to help in time of need."
So get out and RUN YOUR RACE and you just might have a FRIEND that you can PACE YOUR RACE with in your BEST YEAR YET.
